Deepak Taneja co-founded Aveksa in 2004 and has led the company from inception into the leading Business-Driven Identity and Access Management (IAM) vendor in the market. As CTO, he drives Aveksa's technology vision ensuring the company's software solutions solve customers’ IAM challenges today and beyond.
 
Deepak’s IT security innovations started long before his tenure at Aveksa. As CTO and Vice President of Engineering at Netegrity, he was instrumental in establishing the company as a market leader in IAM, with his vision for the highly scalable enterprise single-sign on (SSO) solution, Siteminder. Also, as Director of Engineering at Banyan Systems, Deepak was heavily involved in the development of the first scalable enterprise directory, StreetTalk.
 
Deepak is also an avid thought leader, and regular presenter at industry conferences, including the European Identity and Cloud Conference and CSO IT Security Summit, as well as frequent author and contributor to numerous distinguished outlets including CNN Money, Network World, Reuters and SC Magazine.
 
Deepak holds a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Kamal Govindaswamy is the Founder and Principal of RisknCompliance Consulting Group, a Chicago area firm that specializes in Information Security, Privacy and related Regulatory Compliance areas. Over the last decade, Kamal has worked with a number of healthcare payers and providers in the United States. More recently since the passage of the HITECH Act, he has worked with two large healthcare systems assisting them with risk assessments, compliance initiatives and security program strategies across several areas including Access Governance.

Daniel Poliquin

Daniel has more than seventeen years of experience in providing advisory services to clients, with more than thirteen years focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM). His experience spans a variety of industries, with a focus on healthcare.  Daniel has worked with Payers, Providers, Pharmacy Benefits Manager and drug manufacturers.

He was one of the IAM service offering founders at Deloitte & Touche LLP.  Daniel developed the role management service offering and the proven methodology known as “Roles Management for Enterprises” (RM4E) and is the Global Leader for Enterprise Role Management. Daniel has performed training sessions globally to educate Deloitte professionals on the latest methodologies, lessons learned, and upcoming trends in IAM.  Daniel has lead and advised on projects globally including the United States, Canada, Germany, and France.

As a subject matter expert in the IAM area, Daniel has hands-on experience in assessing, planning, designing, developing and customizing IAM solutions to meet the needs of various clients.  He has experience with:  Access Certification, Identity Repositories, Directory Services, Authoritative Sources Integration, Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), Consolidated Access Management, Single Sign-On, Provisioning, Identity Federation, Portals, and Strong Authentication (Public Key Infrastructure, Smartcards, and Biometrics). 

Daniel is a Chartered Accountant (Quebec, Canada), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).  In addition, Daniel is proficient (writing and verbal) in French and English.


John Schwartz
IT Audit Manager
Partners Healthcare System (PHS)

Currently, John is the IT Audit Manager for Partners Healthcare System (PHS) and is responsible for PHS wide IS/T Audits, including its Hospital & Clinical networks and its research arm. His role is to advise Board Members, Senior Clinicians and Management on IT/S security risks, EHR, patient data governance & security, HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and HITECH requirements.  
 
Prior to PHS John was the Sr. IT Audit Manger for Philips Medical Devises, Asia-Pac IS Audit manger for Lucent and a Technical Product Manager For VoIP solutions for Bells Labs in Murray Hill NJ.  John is a former US Army Signal Corp Officer.
 
John has two professional certifications: Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and has a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Suffolk University. He is also a guest lecture on system security, IS risk management, and is a Board Member at Suffolk University.
